Hell (No Exit) Part of a planned triptych. This was the center panel. The third panel never got past the drawing stage. I doubt any of those sketches survive. This painting, as well as Purgatory, was sold before stretching the canvas for the third. It was (of course) to be entitled Heaven. Details here and here. | ||
