The Library Bought by Martin Shallenberger of New York City, in July of 1983. I hope it has a good home. I loved painting this, but it did take a couple of months. Click here for a detail of the painting. Oh, by the way, the girl who posed was Bambi. And, for what it's worth, I visited Hearst's Castle a few month after painting this, and was pleased to see that my clerestory windows weren't completely improbable. | ||
